Well-being and happiness at school

"You don't need everything to make a world, you need happiness and nothing else"

Paul Eluard

“Being” and “Knowing” are complementary and inseparable, which is why we consider it as important to develop knowledge as the interpersonal skills of each student to contribute to the balance of each child.

  • We wish to work for a human education which contributes to the development of students (like the adults who supervise them). Research shows that to learn calmly and with pleasure, you must be able to manage your emotional strategies (emotions, motivation, self-confidence, impulsivity, anxiety). Happy children are students who learn more easily.
  • We want to make people love the school by exploiting engaging and fun pedagogies and by offering a social and spatial environment, pleasant, positive and motivating.
  • We aspire to balance the individual and the collective: a balanced educational environment that promotes the social nature of learning, cooperative and collaborative, while recognizing individual peculiarities through the personalization of learning.
  • We aim to develop human potential by integrating self-knowledge, interpersonal skills and knowing how to live in the educational model so as to train future citizens who are fulfilled, responsible and committed to their choices. Research has shown that self-esteem and self-confidence, a feeling of competence, a feeling of belonging, motivation, satisfaction of basic needs… are essential factors for self-fulfillment.

IN PRACTICE

Much research has also demonstrated the benefits of mindfulness meditation, an activity that will be offered within the school. Indeed, it learns to refocus on oneself, improves concentration and attention, helps manage stress, anxieties and emotions. It is neatly useful for children with sleep disorders, hyperactive / ADHD or children with stuttering.

To contribute to everyone's development, different activities are called upon and their models and tools integrated from cycle 1 or 2 when they make sense such as non-violent communication, mindfulness, yoga, emotion management but also theater. , rhetoric, music, artistic expression….
